東京八王子出身、「ファンキー加藤」「モン吉」の2人で再始動した2MCグループ。
前身のグループであるFUNKY MONKEY BABYSは'04年元旦に結成。 「DJケミカル」を加えた2MC1DJの3人組グループで活動。
07年1月リリースの『Lovin' Life』の大ヒットを皮切りに『告白』『ヒーロー』『あとひとつ』など、数々のヒット曲を送り出し、NHK「紅白歌合戦」に4年間連続出場。TBS「輝く!日本レコード大賞」にも3年連続出演。
2013年6月人気絶頂の中、夢の舞台でもあった「東京ドーム」にて同グループを解散し、結成から約10年間の活動に幕を閉じた。
解散から約8年の時を経てファンキー加藤、モン吉の2人での""ファンキーモンキーベイビーズ""の活動を発表。“FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY’S”と表記を変え再始動する。
再始動後には、シングル2枚とデジタルシングル、アルバムを1枚ずつリリース。
今後の活動が注目される。
From Tokyo Hachioji comes the 2MC group that was restarted by 2 people funky Katou and Monkichi.
The predecessor group FUNKY MONKEY BABYS was formed on New Year’s Day in ‘04. It was a trio group of 2MC1DJ with DJ Chemical’s participation.
Starting with the big hit ""Lovin’ Life” released in January '07, they produced numerous hit songs such as “Kokuhaku (Confession)”, “Hero”, and “Ato Hitotsu (One More)”.
They gave performances on NHK’s “Kohaku Uta Gassen” for four consecutive years and on TBS’s “Kagayaku! Nippon Record Taisho” for three consecutive years.
In June 2013, at the zenith of its fame, the group broke up at the stage they had been dreaming of, the ""Tokyo Dome,"" marking the end of nearly a decade of activity.
About 8 years after the group broke up, Funky Kato and Monkichi announced that they would resume their activities as a 2MC group called “FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY’S” with a new spelling.
After the restart, they released two singles, one digital single, and one album. Their upcoming activities are attracting attention.

再次進行活動後，發表2張單曲及數位單曲，以及一張專輯。
